Artie and I have returned back home! We took a two-week trip back to the north east to visit with family and friends. It was such a great time! We flew into Newark and went to Artie's parents house. We stayed there about a week. We went to the American Natural History Museum one day. Other days we hung out with family. We had a huge "we're back home" party where a whole bunch of family came by. I got to go and meet my bestest friend in the whole world halfway between her house and NY and have lunch with her. :-) It was just such a fun time!
Then we met my mom in CT and she brought us back to RI. We got to have a lobster dinner the first night we were back!!!! YUMMMM!!! We got our Del's Lemonade and our Awful Awfuls. Also YUMMMM!!!! Then we drove with my parents up to NH to Newfound Lake. Where we always go every year in August. It was so great to be back there and see everyone and get to enjoy camp, the beach, the lake, and everything else that place is. It really is such a special place. My family has been going there since the 1940's. I really hope that it stays the way it is for a lot longer!
We flew back home and I'd already missed two days of school (that was planned). But then I felt so far behind. But, jumped right back into it, got to meet a few parents of my upcoming students. And then I went in to work today to get some things done that I didn't have a chance to do before. I know, it's Saturday! But, I feel at least a little better about starting school with the kids on Monday.
