33 Weeks

What is totally unbelievable to me is the fact that this baby inside of me is going to be out soon and it's a little person. I know, I know, that's what babies are... but, it's crazy to think every time that he or she moves that it's a live person just growing, hanging out, kicking inside of me... and that is going to be born in about 7 weeks.
I've been so busy with work (it's conference week this week) that I am more exhausted than normal, but I know that after they are over, I get a half day Friday and then a comp day on Monday to rest up. It's certainly been interesting trying to put our house back in order. It's crazy because we now have so much baby stuff. I almost don't know where to put it all. The baby's room still has a queen sized mattress in it though. :-) We'll have to get that one out soon.
Artie and my brother have been working really hard on the changing table and it already looks great. They have about two more days of cutting and putting pieces together. Then we'll have to sand it like crazy and stain it. I'm really excited for the final product. I know it's going to turn out awesome!
Well, there's not much else that's new here. On to the weekly quiz.
33 Week Quiz
How far along: 33 weeks and 0 days today
Weight gain: When I stepped on the scale this morning it said that I am up the exact same as last week... 26 1/2 pounds.
Maternity clothes: I'm finding that there are certain maternity clothes that look really cute, others that are flattering, and others that should just have a sign on them that says - "DO NOT WEAR!"
New Baby Items: So more fun stuff from our shower: We got a lot of great books for our baby, we got NY Giants gear (an outfit and a couple bibs) GO GIANTS!!! Then we also go Pats stuff. It was like our wedding all over again. We got a Pooh Swaddle blanket from Nana which is super cute and a froggy blanket that is so soft I'm not sure the kid is going to get it from me. We also got some really cute pajamas - including some great footies as well as some awesome sleep sacks. I'll write more next week.
Stretch marks: No. Hopefully not.
Sleep: I sleep okay, although I don't think I understand how tired I really am. I ended up taking a three hour nap on Sunday and still went to bed at normal time. It's a little exhausting growing something inside of you.
Best moment of the week: I think that the best moment of the week was seeing how absolutely crazy the baby is moving around.
Movement: Oh my goodness, I sometimes just sit and watch my stomach. It can become very distracting.
Food cravings: I still think pizza is what I want the most out of anything.
Labor signs: No, nothing yet. Hopefully at least another 4 weeks so I'm a little more prepared.
Belly button in or out: It's still in, but I can tell it's rock solid and wants to come out. I don't think it will though.
What I miss: I miss energy and having to explain to people how tired I am just isn't fun. I know it's not an excuse to not do things, but I feel like I back out of a lot of things just because I'm tired.
What I'm looking forward to: I'm looking forward to the finished product of the changing table as well as getting the baby's room more prepared.
Weekly wisdom: What an amazing family I have. Make sure to treasure it!
Milestones: This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
